Glass
Clad Polycarbonates consist of multiple pieces of glass and polycarbonate bonded together by tough aliphatic urethane interlayers. Laminates constructed with single or multiple cores of polycarbonate sandwiched between thin lights of strengthened glass are primarily designed to resist prolonged physical attack. |

Bullet
Resistant laminates consist of multiple pieces
of glass with a polycarbonate spall plate bonded together by interlayers
of polyvinyl butyral or aliphatic urethane. These laminates are designed
to resist bullet penetration
from a variety of small arms and rifle fire, as well as impact-induced
spall. These products have a range of physical attack/ballistics
resistance capabilities and the selection of appropriate glazing
materials should be based on a careful review of your security
requirements.
As a transparent glazing material, they offer visual clarity for
observation, brings light into the space., and is lighter weight than
glass laminates.
Glass clad polycarbonates resist scratching, marring, and weathering, and block harmful ultraviolet radiation. Glass is available in clear or tinted.
The use of glass clad polycarbonate glazing provides an effective barrier against attacks from bullets, and bomb blasts,
helping to prevent injury to those on the protected side of the glass.
Typical applications include: correctional facilities, courtrooms, banks, embassies, bank teller and drive-through windows, ticket windows, gas stations, currency exchanges, armored vehicles, aquariums, jewelry store windows, display cases, light fixtures, and machine tool guards. |

Safety
and Security Films help construct a safer environment for your family,
home, and business. These products give affordable protection against damage from severe weather, crime, and heat and sun
damage, strengthening your window glass & decreasing the potential
hazard from flying shattered glass.
These specialty films are manufactured with layers of polyester film bonded by special adhesives and impregnated with ultraviolet
inhibitors.
Security films must be applied by technicians certified by the film
manufacturer.
Benefits:
- Protects artwork, carpets and furnishings from Ultra Violet sun damage
- Protects against vandalism
- Protects against hurricanes and severe storms
- Continuous protection - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Attractive and affordable
- Reduces sun glare
When windows are subjected to explosive forces, vandalism, or severe
weather, shattered glass can be responsible for a large percentage of injuries
- caused by lethal shards of flying glass. The flying glass may
also cause major damage to property and disruption to the business.
Even with window film, the glass can still break, but the high strength film and adhesive help to hold the shards
in place.
Theft and vandalism is a problem faced by businesses - and
security of premises is crucial. Glass in a window, door or other area of glazing often presents an obvious weak point for attack by a burglar or vandal. By installing
security film to windows, breaking through the glass becomes more time
consuming and difficult. Following the terrorist bombing of the
Federal Building in Oklahoma City, President Clinton issued a memorandum to increase the minimum levels of security in all government buildings to protect federal established security criteria and is in the process of evaluating federal buildings against these criteria. Other agency facilities have similar concerns.
This security criteria will mean millions of square feet of security/safety
film will be sold to the government in the near future.

Laminated glass products
provide resistance to penetration due to the PVB interlayer that can only be penetrated or broken by a weapon, sharp object, or intense heat,
while normal glass can be easily broken with the impact of a rock. When broken by impact, laminated glass tends to remain integral in its frame, minimizing the risk of injury from sharp edges and flying or falling glass, and strongly resists penetration by the impacting object or person.
Laminated Safety Glass consists of two or more pieces of glass
and one or more interlayers of PVB
permanently bonded together under heat and pressure. Annealed, tempered, heat strengthened, chemically strengthened, wired, tinted,
and one-way or transparent mirrors can be incorporated into the laminated unit.
For improved thermal and acoustical performance, laminated glass can be combined into insulating glass units.
Typical applications include: Entrance doors, sliding doors, shower and bath doors and enclosures, railings, elevators, exterior curtain walls, office partitions, schools, sports stadiums, airports, hotels, and factories.
